W.S.D. Arcis

W.S.D. Arcis was founded at the beginning of the academic year 2021/2022. As enthusiastic members of Mercurius, we wanted to bring more camaraderie, stronger bonds, and integration between different year groups to our association. Our sorority takes its name from the goddess Arcis, also known as Iris. Arcis is the messenger of the Greek gods. When she delivers a message from heaven to earth, a rainbow bridge appears for her to travel across. In her speed, Arcis is unmatched, which is why she is often depicted with her ‘Golden Wings’ that help her reach any destination.

Of course, the Golden Wings of Arcis are best accompanied by a thirst-quenching golden brew. For us, a fitting drink must have a distinct character that delights the taste buds. We also value efficiency—meaning the perfect balance between price and quality. In our search for the ultimate drink, we journeyed as a fraternity to the end of the rainbow to find the pot of gold.
And what did we discover? This pot was filled with the most beautiful and wondrous beers of our dreams: Kordaat.
